Best Dressed 2014

Awards season begins today, starting with the Golden Globes. We’re looking forward to three things, the stars, the humour and the fashion! Awards will be given on and off the red carpet. Before the show begins, we take one final look at the year that was. The top fashionistas of 2014!

Angelina Jolie wowed us with her on-duty/ off-duty style. Three moments really stand out, her black strapless Versace gown for the LA Premiere of Maleficent, her Versace Atelier wedding gown and her breathtaking floor length lace Gucci gown at the World Premiere of Unbroken. We can’t think of a look we didn’t like, and we’re predicting 2015 will be just as great for the style maven.

Blake Lively gave Serena Van Der Woodsen a run for her money. It was definitely her year, from start to finish she was incredibly glamourous. We have to mention the outfit she wore to announce her pregnancy on her website Preserve. A beautiful look, blouse and maxi skirt from Sam & Lavi. Lively stunned at the Cannes Film festival last year, wearing a Gucci Première burgundy gown and her Gucci Première blush gown at the Met Gala.

Cate Blanchett has had a great run, from the 2014 awards season, knocking each event out with stunning looks. Her Giorgio Armani Prive Academy Awards look, was the epitome of classic hollywood glamour. Wearing a grey, sheer with silver metallic floral lace embroidery Valentino gown at the Trophée Chopard event at the Cannes Film Festival, and a unique pink Givenchy gown at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Emma Stone has complimented her beautiful character with a stunning wardrobe over the past year, taking fashion risks that really pay off. Our favourite look has to be the Thakoon crop top and skirt worn at the Met gala. Other looks include the yellow Versace gown she wore to the, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Premiere in London. Stone wore a green tulle Valentino gown at the Venice Film Festival, sending the social sphere into meltdown, complimenting her new short hair.
Kate Hudson is a red carpet pro. Her nude and black Zuhair Murad Couture gown at an Oscars after party was the perfect look to go hand in hand with her caped Atelier Versace Academy Awards gown. Add to that the Gucci Première gown she wore to the LACMA Art and Film Gala, and we’re looking forward to what the star will bring to 2015.
